CULTURE GUIDE

OUR MISSION

We foster environments where people experience the presence of God.

We remove distractions, support the message, and use our technical and creative gifts as God moves through us. The focus is always on the Creator, not the creation.

Matthew 14:30 – “But when Peter saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, ‘Lord, save me!'”

OUR VISION

To see every service run with excellence, unity, and purpose – so people are drawn to Jesus without distraction.

This guide exists to unify, inspire, and empower every person who serves on the Radiant Production Team. Welcome to the team!

Core Values

1. We Get Better Everyday
We believe growth is part of our calling. The tools, talents, and opportunities God has entrusted to us are not ours to waste but ours to steward with diligence. That means caring for our equipment, sharpening our skills, and, most importantly, deepening our walk with Jesus. As we grow spiritually, we also grow in creativity and excellence. Getting better every day is about honoring God in both the visible and unseen parts of our lives.

1 Corinthians 4:2 – “Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful.”

2. We Love Like a Family
We lead with relationship, not just responsibility. We care for one another like family, knowing that the health of our team affects the health of our ministry. Our posture and presence set the tone behind the scenes.

Ecclesiastes 4:9–10 – “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.”

3. We Start Prepared and Finish Strong
Prepared, not panicked. We rehearse, test, and anticipate needs so that we can be fully present when it matters most. We don’t just start well—we finish with excellence, knowing that our consistency honors God and builds trust with our teammates.
Exodus 31:3–5 – “…and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills— to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze, to cut and set stones, to work in wood, and to engage in all kinds of crafts.”

Luke 14:29–30 – “For if you lay the foundation and are not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule you, saying, ‘This person began to build and wasn’t able to finish.’”

Communication Channels & Structure

All scheduling is managed via Planning Center.

  • We confirm planning center requests when they are received.

We communicate any conflicts to the production director at the location and mark responses in planning center accordingly.

Our team communicates through Slack.

  • We engage throughout the week for announcements and community engagement.
  • We use position-specific channels for key updates about those roles.

We use event-specific channels for information related to those events, with advanced-planning and real-time updates.

General issues and questions should be reported to your Location Production Director.

Team Rhythms

Pre-service Huddles: Centering our hearts before the service begins.

Sunday Rehearsals: Time for preparation and troubleshooting.Serving

Regularly: Staying consistent by committing to serve on a specific schedule rotation.

Attending Regularly: Attending services regularly, even when not serving.

Dream Team Ramp

I do, we do, you do, repeat

Step 1: Observe – Shadow an experienced team member during a live service.

Step 2: Train – Participate in training (shadow) sessions.

Step 3: Serve with Support – Run a position with oversight from a leader.

Step 4: Lead & Multiply – Own your role and develop someone else.

Team Dress Code

To ensure a distraction-free environment, we expect that Production team members adhere to a professional yet casual dress code. Specific criteria apply to each role. Please refer to the picture examples below for guidance.

Those who may step on-stage (Camera Operators & Stage Managers)
Wear all-black, loose-fitting clothing appropriate for a church setting. This attire should allow for easy movement without being distracting, particularly when on stage. Closed-toe shoes and pants are mandatory for stage work.

All Other Roles:
Choose church-appropriate attire, including jeans, pants, or longer dresses/skirts.

Portable Locations:
Given Florida’s climate, you may opt for comfortable clothing like shorts during setup and teardown. Please bring a change of clothes as needed.

Team Structure

Location Production Director

The goal of the Production Director is to identify and empower a leadership team at the location, consisting of Coaches and Team Leads. These leaders oversee a rotation of teams, ensuring consistent support and leadership across all services. With this leadership structure in place, the Production Director is freed to focus on recruiting and developing new team members or assisting with technical support for other ministries on campus.

Leadership Roles

Coaches
Coaches are responsible for leading the operation of a service and typically serve as the Producer for their team. They ensure services run smoothly and support team members by providing training and stepping in when technical or operational issues arise. Their broad understanding of all production roles allows them to lead effectively during services.

Team Leads
Team Leads focus on the relational and logistical aspects of the team. They handle scheduling, team communications, and often organize social events and team hangouts. Unlike Coaches, their leadership is not tied to a specific Sunday service role, so they can serve in any position during the service.
